China to create an army of humanoid robots for border control with Vietnam

A pioneering project is underway in China. It involves an army of UBTech Walker humanoid robots for border control and logistics with Vietnam

China’s advancement in robotics includes a pioneering project based on the use of UBTech Walker robots for border control and logistics with Vietnam.

According to a report by the International Federation of Robotics, China has long used robots extensively in factories. Last year, they installed nearly 300,000 robots.

Now, the humanoid robots from Shenzhen-based UBTech Robotics have signed a contract to supply their latest models to a testing project that China will conduct near the border with Vietnam.

The deal is part of China’s effort to integrate advanced robotics into public services and border management. The robots will be responsible for “testing the practical applications of humanoids in the real world, such as assisting in border management, guiding travelers, and managing general logistics.”
