After a meeting of the president of Chile Sebastián Piñera with his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in, the Latin American country confirmed its intentions to improve its technological development.

One of the proposals is to develop 5G technology within the Chilean region, this from the hand of its fifth most important commercial partner.

The meeting between Piñera and Moon allowed the signing of several agreements on defense, transport, technology, climate change and commercial exchange.

After these new alliances, diplomatic and friendship relationships between Chile and South Korea were reinforced.

In this summit both leaders put on the table the different points related to security and defense, three memos on 5G technology and artificial intelligence, among others.

Piñera highlighted Moon’s commitment to advance the denuclearization and pacification of the Korean peninsula and the continuation of dialogues with the United States.
