Bloomberg will launch cryptocurrency capitalization index
The initiative is designed to track the performance and information of 10 cryptocurrencies that are among the most traded in the market
The global leader in financial sector news, Bloomberg, recently announced the launch of a new cryptocurrency market capitalization index in association with digital asset management, cryptographic portfolios and blockchain technology, Galaxy Digital Capital Management LP.
The media explained that said index is designed to track the performance and information of 10 cryptocurrencies that are among the most traded in the cryptoactive market, which will be represented according to their values in US dollars and will be weighted by their capitalization market.
The initiative will be called “Bloomberg Galaxy Cryptocurrency Index”, under the abbreviation BGCI, which is directly owned by Bloomberg, as well as a brand shared with the aforementioned firm.
