Blockchain video game raised 40 million dollars

Cocos-BCX, responsible for creating titles such as Angry Birds or Clash Clans, reached these funds thanks to investors

This week, the Cocos-BCX blockchain video game platform managed to raise about 40 million dollars in financing from investors.

This decentralized entertainment space for games and digital assets was built thanks to the Cocos engine, which has a large community of developers of 1.1 million members. That’s where titles like Angry Birds, Fight !, Badlands and Clash of Kings came from.

Haozhi Chen, founder of this firm, ensures that video games have always been part of the DNA of the developers community.

“Video games have always been in our DNA, so we have a deep understanding of what the community of game developers needs to be successful. More importantly, we understand what kind of development environment is most effective on all blockchain platforms,” Chen said.

Thanks to the blockchain technology, the creators and players will be able to demonstrate the ownership of the digital items that they manage to obtain within the game and, likewise, transfer them to other users of the platform.

This will improve the video game experience, enabling possibilities for more interesting designs. In addition, they would lay the foundations for a new way of monetizing the industry.
