Blockchain Colombia Foundation was born
Its main objectives are educating the public and offering new market options
On May 2018 the Blockchain Colombia Foundation was created in Bogotá. Its objective is to expand and democratize information on current issues such as cryptocurrencies, blockchains, digital finance and the progress towards a “cash free” society.
Different actors are part of this financial ecosystem. Government entities joined companies such as Panda Group, Buda Colombia, Bitcoin Colombia, Cajero.co, IntiColombia y RSK to then incorporate the public in the fight to implement blockchain technology in the Colombian territory.
This platform opens the doors to new markets, financial opportunities and economic growth. Aware of this, Blockchain Colombia Foundation will work in the areas of education and dissemination of information through conferences and campaigns that allow them to achieve their goal.
Decentralization of services, efficiency in financial transactions, public access to cryptocurrencies currently on the market and the possible creation of digital autochthonous currency are part of the Foundation’s plan.
It will be a joint effort between government, private sector and citizens for the economic development of the country, which faces the challenge of strengthening all sectors of national life.
