Bitmain closes its office in Amsterdam

The company says goodbye to its headquarters in Amsterdam and also reduces its mining operations in Texas, USA

Bitmain, the cryptocurrency mining giant, decided to close another office abroad. It was the turn of its facility in Amsterdam as part of the commercial adjustments process. A spokesman said that the company has not yet closed but the decision has already been made and the process is underway.

Bitmain did not specified the closing schedule or the number of personnel that will be affected.

The firm said: “We are really focusing on the things that are fundamental to our mission and not on the things that are auxiliary. We will continue to hire the best talent from a wide range of backgrounds. “

It should be recalled that in early December, the consortium confirmed the closure of its office in Israel and dismissed more than 20 employees who were mainly in charge of the development of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence.

Similarly, Texas Public Radio reported that Bitmain halted its mining operations in Rockdale, in Milam County. The company emphasized that it is not abandoning the Rockdale site altogether.
