Bitcoin has entered the colorful world of Minecraft blocks

From now on, Minecraft fans will be able to earn profits in this cryptocurrency

Fans of one of the most popular and successful video games of all time now have the ability to earn Bitcoins while playing the game, thanks to a collaboration between Satlantis, a community-operated Bitcoin-themed Minecraft server, and Zebedee, a fintech and Bitcoin payments startup.

Zebedee’s team excitedly announced on their blog that they are bringing Bitcoin to Minecraft. The company, which has brought BTC rewards to a wide variety of games, thus responded to increasing player demand for the leading cryptocurrency in Minecraft.

This integration, while unofficial and not endorsed by Minecraft developer Mojang Studios, allows players to earn real Bitcoin rewards for completing quests. These rewards can be used in the game to acquire land, buy resources or equipment, as well as trade or exchange with other players on the server.

Additionally, BTC rewards can be withdrawn to the Zebedee app, where users can spend the bitcoins on the company’s gaming network or transfer them to exchanges that support the Lightning Network.

The Satlantis server brings an exciting twist to the celebrated video game by incorporating elements inspired by cryptocurrency mining. In this way, those familiar with crypto mining practices will recognize concepts such as ASIC, hash rate, block reward, and mining pool. This server works on the Java edition of Minecraft for computers.

Although the gains may be modest, they are still Bitcoin. According to Zebedee, the reward pool is filled with more than 150,000 satoshis (approximately $45) every day, of which 1 % is distributed every 10 minutes among players. A satoshi is the smallest unit of measurement for a Bitcoin; each BTC contains 100 million satoshis.
