BDV online launches cryptocurrency transactions

Banco de Venezuela announced the start of the purchase of the petro through its online platform for individuals and companies

This Monday the Banco de Venezuela (BDV) announced that launching of operations with the petro, the Venezuelan cryptocurrency, under the supervision of the National Superintendency of Crypto Assets and Related Activities (Sunacrip).

Through the “BDVenlínea platform”, individuals and companies can make a minimum purchase of 0.010 petros, a transaction for which a commission of 1.5% has been set.

It is important to highlight that those interested in participating in this trading can also make the purchase in the offices set up throughout the national territory. With this initiative, the Venezuelan banking entity seeks to underpin the strengthening of the national economy.

For the purchase of petros, individuals and companies must make the corresponding registration in their PetroApp crypto wallet and then go to an authorized office. At the box office they must indicate that they want to make the purchase, cancel the amount in bolivars -the national currency-, in euros or dollars. The final step is the deposit in the digital wallet.

If the user wishes to carry out the operation through BDV online, he must go to the Transfers menu, select the option “Purchase of Petros”, and follow the steps indicated. The hours of these operations are from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. m. until 3:30 p.m. m.
