Bancamiga adds to basketball in its purpose of building the country through sport

The financial institution reaffirms its interest in sports activity by supporting national basketball, which will participate in the Basketball World Cup to be held in August

Previously, Bancamiga was present in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, the Caribbean Series, with soccer and basketball teams, as well as golf and paddle tennis. On this occasion, it establishes an alliance with the Venezuelan Basketball Federation to elevate this specialty to the top of the national sport and both institutions begin the journey with the FIBA World Cup, as part of the brand positioning strategy and Support for professional and amateur sports from the financial institution.

This sporting event will take place in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia from August 25 to September 10 with 32 participating teams and Venezuela is ranked 17th in the world ranking.

This tournament has been held every four years since 1950 and the current champion is Spain. The teams are divided into continental groups, where there will be three or four teams per group and in turn promotion and relegation between said groups.

The executive president of Bancamiga Banco Universal, Ariel Martínez, expressed that it is always a pleasure to support sports in Venezuela, and what better way to do it than by representing the country in this important sporting event.

Likewise, he thanked Bancamiga for being an important ally, which translates into the trust that the bank places in the Venezuelan Basketball Federation, thanks to the credibility that it has built during five years of qualifying for this international competition.
