Automotive sector could grow thanks to the AI addoption

A report from the Research Institute of Capgemeni ensures that profits from the use of technology will exceed between 206 and 679 million euros

A study conducted by the Capgemini Research Institute indicated that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) will help the growth of the automotive sector between 5 and 16%.

This will be represented by an operating profit calculated between 206 and 679 million euros.

The use of AI has also helped reduce direct costs in the customer experience area by 14% and 17% in information technologies, as well as 15% in R&D and 13% in marketing and sales .

The institute supports the theory that the use of this type of technology does not eliminate jobs but helps the creation of new spaces within companies.

Despite this, only 26% of car companies have launched pilot projects of artificial intelligence, due to the lack of profitability that they have found this.

Since 2014, some 9,953 million euros have been invested in start-ups related to the IA.
