Australian government will fund a tourism startup

The province of Queensland will make a donation to a tourism company that works with cryptocurrencies

This Thursday, the government of the province of Queensland in Australia announced a donation of 8.3 million dollars to a tourism startup that works with cryptocurrencies.

The TravelbyBit payment platform enters the list of 70 companies that will get special financing from the Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas, which supports local ventures.

The aim of the company is to increase the number of tourists to central Queensland through the sale of travel offers in cryptocurrencies, in addition to creating more jobs, commented the Minister of Innovation, Kate Jones:

“TravelbyBit has visualized a smart way to help people visit our state and pay for their purchases with an increase number of local businesses accepting payments in cryptocurrencies, which means that TravelbyBit is trying to take travelers to Bundaberg, plus of the great barrier reef, using cryptocurrencies to make it easier for users to make reservations for their vacations“, explained the minister.
