Australian airport will accept cryptocurrencies as payment

At the Brisbane airport in Australia, it will be possible to cancel with Bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies due to an alliance with the company TravelbyBit.

“After the investment that many of our travelers have made in cryptocurrencies, it is logical that we offer this payment experience in our terminals,” said Roel Hellemons, manager of the Brisbane Airport Corporation.

Although it was already said that all businesses will accept digital currencies, the date on which this type of payment will come into force is still unknown.

Caleb Yeoh, CEO of TravelbyBit Australia, stressed that users of the terminal, one of the largest in the world, will not have to change currencies and will be exempt from banking fees.
