Australia will create a solar-powered mining farm

Two data processors are working on this project related to bitcoin in the city of Collie, which will be configured for 2019

A group of businessmen from Australia is developing a massive bitcoin mining project, which will use as the main source of energy obtained from the sun.

This “farm” will be located in the town of Collie, an area dedicated to coal mining. The project is being carried out by data center operator DC Two and its subsidiary D Coin.

The entity in charge of the construction of the structure of the farm will be Hadouken, as reported by the Australian media IT Brief.

Through a statement, the company said that the proposal managed to attract the interest of the local and international cryptographic community.

“By offering customized low-cost hosting options specifically designed for Bitcoin mining and other cryptocurrencies at competitive rates worldwide, DC Two & D Coin has been able to attract the interest of the local and international cryptographic mining community,” said the  company.

It is planned that the first stages of this center, which will be being configured by the beginning of 2019, can supply up to four megawatts. In this phase, the two facilities are expected to provide service to 256 racks of Information Technology in which each rack is capable of delivering up to 30 kw of load.

“In the complete encryption mining configuration, with the initial energy availability of 4MW, the data center could extract around 650 bitcoins per year worth around A $ 6 million, based on current exploitation rates. and exchange, the company said.
