Atari will create versions of classic games with blockchain
The entertainment company created an alliance with Animoca Brands Limited that will last until 2022 and will allow the production and distribution of several deliveries
Through a statement, the company Atari Inc. announced that it will create versions of popular games for smartphones with the use of blockchain technology.
This will be possible thanks to the partnership they have signed with startup Animoca Brands Limited, which will allow them to produce and distribute these versions.
In 2019, users will be able to enjoy blockchain versions of RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch and Goon Squad worldwide, except China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao.
This agreement will be extended until March 31st, 2022, the period in which Animoca Brands will have to pay a minimum guarantee of future income valued at 250 thousand dollars, payable in shares.
Atari has been involved in the subject of cryptocurrencies. Recently it created its digital currency called Atari Token.
