Artificial Intelligence will help to complete Gmail emails
The Smart Compose tool, already available for a long time, integrated the Spanish language into its possibilities to fill words
This week the Gmail email platform reached its 15th anniversary, and a good way to celebrate it with the development team was through the integration of a new completion function thanks to Artificial Intelligence.
This option already existed; however it had a limitation in terms of languages. From now on users can take profit of the tool in Spanish.
The function is simple; while it is being written, the Google AI is completing the sentences as they are introduced so the user not to need to type so much. Now, “Smart Compose” opens up to Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
Google has stated that the tool is capable of writing more than one billion characters, now also for its Spanish version that is available in Android, iOS and desktop.
The artificial intelligence application to Gmail has allowed not only to link ads related to the texts, but also to block spam and unwanted messages, one of the functions that allowed it to unseat its main rivals in 2004, Microsoft’s Hotmail and Yahoo email.
