Foster Nutrition, the first smart restaurant located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, announced that it counts on the necessary resources to accept payments with bitcoin.
The establishment launched the payment option and customers can now use bitcoin, in addition to credit and debit cards, to cancel the food they wish to consume.
It should be noted that smart restaurants pose various changes compared to the traditional model. Smart premises are based solely on the use of technological tools.
In the so-called smart restaurants, human participation is totally excluded in the process of customer service, in the preparation of food and in delivery. The people interact with an automated terminal that takes the order and people pays through it. Later the package is received at the delivery office.
Martin Zuker, co-founder and CEO of Foster, said that the new payment method is a fact thanks to the association of the restaurant with the payment processing company Bitex, which incorporated the transactions with bitcoin through a secure and easy-to-use platform.
