Apple will launch its own credit card

The product, in alliance with Goldman Sachs, would reach the market in 2019

According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple is preparing to launch its own credit card, which would be a joint effort with Goldman Sachs.

Although its service “Apple Pay” has not finished positioning itself in the world (only works in the United States) this product would come under the brand and is expected to reach the market in 2019. In addition, Goldman Sachs would offer loans to customers in the Apple stores.

On the other hand, Goldman Sachs absorbed a few months ago the team of the credit card startup Final. For years they have offered plastics through American Express, but with the acquisition would be the first step to issue their own cards.

It’s not clear how the service will be after the alliance or the type of benefits that the company will provide if its plastic is available, but it is already a reality for both companies.
