Apple will launch a new MAC mini late 2024

The technology company Apple plans to launch a new MAC mini device at the end of this year, which incorporates the Apple Silicon chip, the M4, greater performance and functions based on artificial intelligence

Later this year, Apple will launch a new MAC mini to strengthen its presence in the desktop device market. The device will incorporate the Apple Silicon M4 chip, for greater performance and functions based on artificial intelligence.

With this launch, Apple updates its catalog of desktop MAC offerings. According to sources consulted by Bloomberg analyst and journalist, Mark Gurman, the new equipment “will become the smallest version manufactured by Apple so far, reaching the dimensions of an Apple TV device. Specifically, the new model will reduce its width, approaching 3.7 inches wide, less than half the size of the current Mac mini.”

The new mini will feature the latest generation of the Apple Silicon chip, the M4, which was designed to “drive AI functions, thanks to the inclusion of a more advanced 16-core neural engine, capable of performing 38 trillion operations per second.”

It will connect with at least three USB-C ports, a power cable and an HDMI port. Together with the M4 chip, these features will make the new Mac mini the most suitable option for users looking for a small but high-performance device, “especially in tasks related to Artificial Intelligence.”

According to other information leaked by Gurman, Apple is actually working on two new devices, codenamed J773. Both will have the M4 chip incorporated, but one of them will have the M4 Pro processor, an even more powerful version that will have support for more memory and greater graphical power.
