Apple strengthens the security of its system for crypto wallets

The company has released new security updates and encourages users to reset their devices as soon as possible

The technology giant Apple has announced new updates to the iOS mobile operating system in order to strengthen the security of crypto wallets, as reported by the company on Tuesday.

The measure was applied because Apple discovered certain vulnerabilities in the system that put its security at risk, exposing the privacy of crypto wallets to hackers.

For his part, Coinbase Chief Engineer Pete Kim urged users to make the respective updates as soon as possible and thus avoid scams in the operating system. If you are using a mobile crypto wallet on an iOS device, be sure to update iOS as soon as possible!”, stated Kim via the social network Twitter.

The executive also added that this update “includes a fix for an arbitrary remote code execution vulnerability that may have been actively exploited.”

It is important to mention that the update is available for iPhone 6s, later iPad Air 2 and later iPad mini 4 and the 7th generation iPad touch.
