Apple says 50% of iPhones are already running on iOS 13

The operating system received more acceptance than its predecessor, the iOS 12 which has barely reached 41% of the computers

The latest version of Apple’s operating system for iPhone mobiles, iOS 13, managed to exceed 50% adoption in the brand’s ecosystem just one month after its launch, while the iPadOS tablet operating system is now installed in one of every three iPad.

On September 19, Apple began distributing its new iOS 13 mobile operating system for smartphones after the iPhone 6s. Now, the US company published the latest system adoption data through the App Store developers section.

iOS 13 is already installed on 50% of the iPhone, followed by the previous version, iOS 12, which is found in 41% of the iPhone ecosystem. 9% of devices use earlier versions of iOS.

Apple also reported that in the devices sold in the last four years, the adoption of iOS 13 amounts to 55% of the total, according to data collected on October 15.

In addition, Apple also launched its iPadOS operating system, specific for its iOS tablets, which is available since September 30 and that in 15 days managed to be downloaded in one of every three devices, surpassed by iOS 12, which is installed in the 51% of the brand’s tablets. The 16% use earlier versions of iOS.

On the other hand, in iPad sold in the last four years, iPadOS reaches 41% adoption, although it is still behind its predecessor iOS 12.
