Apple prepares to develop its own processor

The company wants its Mac computers to contain this tool created by the company itself

Apple plans to sell Mac computers with its own processors next year, a component that will be based on A14 chip technology that will integrate the next iPhone model.

The tech company is working on creating three processors for Mac computers, as indicated by Bloomberg, under the project codenamed Kalamata. The manufacturer TSMC would take care of its production, as it already does with those of the iPhone and iPad.

These tools are based on the new A14 chip, which Apple will integrate into the next generation of iPhone, and that of both mobile devices and computers will be 5 nanometers, according to the sources consulted.

With this strategy, Apple would unify its ecosystem of applications and updates, although according to Bloomberg, Mac computers with their own processors will continue to use the MacOS operating system instead of iOS.

The company plans to launch the first Mac model with its own processor next year.
