The payment with digital currencies would allow the government of Antigua and Barbuda to expand its market, since they have a large number of cryptocurrency investors that would like to be nationalized. This has been emphasized by Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
He stressed that the money collected by the payments in these currencies will be exchanged in FIAT money to avoid investment vulnerability and to strengthen the security of the transactions.
Antigua and Barbuda has shown a deep interest in cryptocurrencies and openness to investments, with great offers to investors, such as the possibility of opening accounts with international banks such as Global Bank and Commerce.
