King Charles III asked Andy Burnham to form a government, and he became the British Prime Minister on Monday, July 20

Andy Burnham officially became Keir Starmer’s successor on Monday, taking over as British Prime Minister after King Charles III asked him to form a government.

As is known, Starmer had submitted his resignation to the monarch last June, and it was only a matter of days before Burnham took over.

The 56-year-old, who previously served as Mayor of Manchester, must now take the reins of the country and regain the public’s trust.
