Amazón Music, the new Spotify competition

The company launched its own free music streaming service with a plan starting at US $ 9.99 per month

The American company in charge of electronic commerce, Amazon, announced its new free music streaming services called Amazon Music, to become the new competition of the Spotify Technology platform that has more than 200 million users in its free version.

Amazon’s music streaming platform has paid plans for its services starting at US $ 9.99 per month. This initiative reinforces the version launched by the company in September for users of the Alexa virtual assistant with totally free Echo devices.

Spotify is considered the most popular music streaming service in the world, managing to offer a free version with advertising to its users, used for music playback via streaming and with additional features, such as better audio quality, through of a paid subscription.

However, Amazon’s shares in the market rose almost 0.5%, while those of its rival Spotify fell approximately 5%.
