Amazon Music incorporates streaming videos of artists on Twitch

The function is now available in the app for both iOS and Android operating systems

From this Tuesday, the Amazon Music application incorporates the live streaming of Twitch and the function is now available in the app for both the iOS and Android operating systems.

The goal of this new feature is to allow artists to interact with the more than 55 million users who use the Amazon Music application. “At a time when face-to-face events are highly restricted, artists will be able to interact for the first time with their fans in real time through Amazon Music,” says the statement accessed by Europa Press.

Users will be able to find live broadcasts of their favorite artists through the Amazon Music application, either by receiving automatic notifications from the artists they follow when they go live on Twitch or through the new tab of the application called “Live”.

In addition, the app has also simplified the process for artists to link their Twitch channels to Amazon Music with the new Amazon Music for Artists app.

Among the first live broadcasts to be carried out are those of The Killers, with artists Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci Jr., who will connect to the application on September 4, or the artist Nicole Atkins, who will present a program on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Amazon Music UK will also stream the 2020 Heavy Music Awards live on September 3, while Capital One City Parks Foundation’s Summer Stage Anywhere will stream exclusive digital performances.
