Amazon closes 2019 with a 15% growth

The US e-commerce company, Amazon, closed 2019 with positive financial results for the 2019 fiscal period, as the company said in a formal publication on Thursday.

According to historical data, the electronic giant achieved profits of 11.588 million dollars, equivalent to about 10.5 billion euros, which represents 15% more than the previous year.

Although online commerce is still Amazon’s main business, its cloud computing service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), was the fastest growing year-round, obtaining a 37% annual turnover increase.

The founder and CEO of the firm, Jeff Bezos, said the company showed operating results at 14,541 million, over the 12,421 achieved in 2018.Prime subscriptions continue to offer more advantages for customers year after year, and they are saying: last quarter we had more new subscribers than ever before and now we have 150 million members worldwide,” said Bezos.

In the last quarter, the result of the Christmas campaign of the Seattle-based firm was $ 3,268 million, up from 3,027 million profits from previous Christmas.
