Amazon allows to create new personalized skills for Alexa

The Alexa Skill Blueprints is a feature that allows users of its Alexa voice assistant to create new Skills, as the applications of this assistant are known

The new Blueprints allow any user without programming knowledge to create new Alexa Skills and customize them based on their needs, as Amazon has reported through a statement.

The new feature is based on the use of simple templates that allow you to create new Skills “in a few minutes”, according to Amazon, either to personalize questions and answers or to give instructions or rules to other people in the house.

It is possible to create new Skills through the Amazon website, from the user profile and the Blueprints section, where four categories are included: Fun and Games, Home, Communities and Organizations, and Learning and Knowledge.

Each Blueprint comes with predesigned content that can be used as is or customized. With a click, each new Skill is available on all Alexa-enabled devices associated with the Amazon account.

Users can share their Skills by email or text message, as well as on social media platforms, for example for occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, while students can also create Skills to study and share them with their classmates.
