Adoption of cryptocurrencies in the world continues to rise

A survey conducted by the company Statista Global Consumer Survey reveals that Turkey leads the adoption of cryptocurrencies worldwide

The data correspond to the first semester of 2019 and show that South America is the region with the highest adoption of cryptocurrencies. Brazil and Colombia are the main countries in the area, where an approximate 18% of the inhabitants use cryptocurrencies in their daily lives. Argentina, in contrast, presents the lowest figure, with 16%.

The case of Venezuela is worth mentioning, because although the country’s data was not reflected among the nations surveyed by Statista, according to the portal Coin Dance Venezuela “is a leader in the region in the exchange of bitcoins through LocalBitcoins. Additionally, the Caribbean nation ranks third in the world in operations in that platform, followed by Russia and the United States.”
