13 banks join the new exchange system in Venezuela

On the second day of transactions Bancamiga and the Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD) joined the new exchange system with trading above the average

During the second day of operations of the Venezuelan banking exchange tables, other banks entered into this system that averaged an exchange rate of 5,256.12 bolivars per dollar.

The novelty of this day was the entrance to the ring of Bancamiga and the Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD).

In detail, this was the amount of transactions for May 14: Banco de Venezuela: 5,256.82 bolívares per dollar (Bs / US $), an increase of 1.3% compared to the previous day; Banco Exterior: 5,239.57 Bs / US $, 6.4% below the parity of the previous day; Banco Nacional de Crédito (BNC): 5,254.60 Bs / US $, 0.02% above the previous day; BOD: 5,340.54 Bs / US $ and Bancamiga: 5,650 Bs / US $.

On this second day the exchange rate was less dispersed compared to the first one, with the exception of debtor banks that exceeded the 5,200 bolivares range.

According to the information disclosed by the BCV, there are already 13 banks incorporated into the system, even though not all have reported operations and set prices. The banking market is made up of 31 public and private institutions.

Several rumors claim that there are still banks that are evaluating their co-signers abroad if it is convenient for them or not to be part of this system.
