This Sunday, August 26, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro made important announcements in economic matters that include the creation of the Ministry of Domestic Trade as the main focus.

The president indicated in national chain that the governing body will have as task the search of a healthy market of commercialization, distribution and prices for the Venezuelans.

On the other hand, he spoke of the establishment of the price of fuel, a critical issue for the population. In this regard, he indicated that all drivers must present the “Carnet de la Patria” at the service stations to obtain the supply. Regarding the subsidy, he indicated that it will be applied directly and added that they will apply a new system at the border with Colombia, at an international price.

Maduro referred to the payment to pensioners, stressing that “from now on every month we are going to pay pensions through the digital wallet, so that older adults do not have problems and have their resources freely”.

The president also spoke about the Plan for Recovery, Growth and Economic Prosperity, through which a national Savings Plan will be launched. Provide that each citizen has access to gold ingots of 1.5 and 2.5 grams to save gold, at a value of 3,780 and 6,300 Bolívares Soberanos respectively. The plan will also apply to petro cryptocurrency.
