Venezuelans adapt the Lightning Torch initiative

The group "Satoshi in Venezuela" are the current holders of this project, which now has 54,000 satoshi

A group of Venezuelans has decided to adapt the “Lightning Torch” initiative, and through this raise awareness among Spanish speakers about the benefits that this network brings to the world.

The idea came from the members of the Satoshi group in Venezuela, a team of bitcoin lovers who promote meetups within the national territory to talk about the philosophy, technology and all the potentials of this cryptocurrency.

One of the differences that this idea has with the original is that it grows to 10,000 satoshi per shipments, while the Satoshi Torch grows to 1,000 satoshi with each bounce it generates. This allows it to grow slower, although it can spread just as quickly as its older sister, which is especially important among Venezuelans where every satoshi counts.

In a short time, approximately 54,000 satoshi have joined this group. This initiative came through its current owner, Jaime Briceño, who received it from KevinNegocios.

“I received the #AntorchaDeSatoshi from the hand of @KevinNegocios. Who will be the next person to receive it? Send invoice for 55 thousand sats,” said Briceño.

The slow growth of this clone of the Lightning Torch also allows to overcome two of the most obvious problems that the global counterpart has had: to avoid the liquidity problems of large volume transactions in case the torch goes viral and to allow it to remain a sort of curiosity far from the interest of a potential thief.
