Central Bank of Venezuela reports 8.4 % inflation in September

According to data from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), inflation for the month of September was 8.4 %. The accumulated inflation rate reached 225.3 %

The Central Bank of Venezuela indicated that September’s inflation was 8.4 %, compared to 8.9 % reported in August, reflecting a decrease of 0.5 percentage points.

The issuing entity placed accumulated inflation at 225.3 %, adding that a trend toward price stabilization is observed, a behavior that “is also reflected in the gap between the official and parallel exchange rates and in a lower variation in the prices of goods and services.”

The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) attributed this development to “close coordination with the government” and asserted that it “allowed for continued growth in monetary aggregates in line with the economy’s performance, along with a normalization of external income flows into the national economy.”
