Next Wednesday, June 24th, is a national holiday, commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo.
According to the country’s legislation, it is a non-working day, so workers will not be reporting to their jobs, including those in the banking sector. Branches will remain closed and will reopen on Thursday, June 25th.
The recommendation for banks is to make transfers and payments as of June 24th in advance to avoid service interruptions and other inconveniences. However, it’s important to remember that users of the national banking system can use each institution’s digital channels for immediate payments, transfers, balance inquiries, and peer-to-peer payments. They can also use ATMs for various transactions and pay at businesses with their debit and credit cards.
To find out about upcoming banking days and national holidays, you can consult the official website of the Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions of Venezuela Sudeban.
