Bancamiga boosts the national economy with a strong upswing in consumer and foreign exchange solutions
This past weekend, debit and credit cards, along with the innovative point-of-sale terminals — the only ones that allow users to pay for and recharge services — streamlined the commercial and business activities of Venezuelans
Bancamiga’s positive results continue to set the pace for the Venezuelan financial system. This week, approvals for consumer products exceeded $7 million per day for corporate clients, reaffirming the importance of its partnership with Mastercard.
Alberto Camardiel, Executive Director of Marketing, Products, and Services at Bancamiga Banco Universal, stated that the institution is committed to offering its clients innovative and cutting-edge products that meet their expectations and needs.
“Approaching its 20th anniversary, Bancamiga boasts a financial strength that allows it to provide consistent support to entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a broad portfolio of financial facilities and innovative credit products,” he said.
Camardiel stated that, like corporate clients, individual customers are setting record numbers week after week in the number of transactions through points of sale and payment gateways.
Bancamiga: notable upswing in consumer and foreign exchange solutions

The alliance with Mastercard allows Bancamiga cardholders to access exclusive experiences through Priceless.com, including promotions, travel benefits, preferential access to VIP lounges at airports worldwide, and the opportunity to receive incentives in their account when making purchases at partner merchants in Venezuela and abroad, according to a press release.
Camardiel added that this weekend, both debit and credit cards, as well as Bancamiga point-of-sale terminals—the only ones that allow customers to pay for and top up phone and television services—were fully operational, enabling consumers to make purchases quickly and securely.
These excellent results in consumer product approvals complement the more than 111,000 foreign currency orders processed in the last three months through the Auction and Digital Intervention mechanisms. These transactions have solidified the institution’s position as a leader in serving individual and corporate clients, whose funds can be accessed through the Digital Foreign Currency account, concludes the bank’s press release.
