She also highlighted the creation of a labor dialogue commission to address the issue, which has fueled widespread protests in the country.

Rodríguez did not provide details about the salary increase, so it is unclear whether it refers to the minimum monthly wage or the bonuses currently paid to workers.

The interim president indicated that the salary increase effective May 1st will be “responsible.”
