The Prada Group announced on Tuesday, December 2, the final acquisition of its rival Versace, with an investment exceeding $1.4 billion.
Through a brief statement, Prada reported that it had signed the purchase agreement after obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals.
Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada’s heir, will lead this new phase in the brand merger, serving as CEO, Chief Marketing Officer, and Head of Sustainability.
Preparations for integrating Versace’s talent into the Prada Group are well underway. Both fashion empires have invested this year in various projects, factories, and human talent, which will now be showcased to the world under a single company.
