Preparations for the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles at the Vatican on October 19 are in their final stages.

“We are preparing spiritually through prayer, but we are also preparing synodically through the Archdiocese of Caracas. Let us remember that these are two saints, the first time in history that two saints from the same country were canonized on the same day,” said Mother Carmen Ríos, vice postulator of the Mother Carmen cause.

The Venezuelan representatives who will be present in Italy for the canonization are preparing to travel to Europe. The parishioners eagerly await this moment, which will surely be widely covered by the media so that all Venezuelans can appreciate the solemn event.
