Lula predicts 3.5 % growth in Brazil’s economy
By the end of 2024, the projection of economic growth in Brazil would be 3.5 % according to the president of the nation, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva
The president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, predicts an economic growth of the country by the end of 2024 of 3.5 %.
According to the president, the figure could even be 4 % “contrary to the forecasts that the market was considering until a few months ago.”
Lula indicated: “Once again, some people in the market began to announce and boast that the Brazilian economy would not grow more than 1.5 % this year, but for our good fortune it will grow 3.5% and be careful if it does not reach 4 %.”
Recent reports, published last week, indicate that gross domestic product grew 0.9 % during the third quarter compared to the previous three months “and is advancing at a year-on-year rate of 3.1 %.”
According to the president of Brazil, the country’s economic growth could be one of the highest in the world. “The important thing is that growth is distributed, so that the wage bill grows, which has already increased 11 % since he returned to power in January 2023.”
