Universities of Spain will use blockchain platform to certify titles

Three educational institutions will count on the use of the creation of Hyperledger Fabric to improve the verifiability of the processes

At least three educational institutions in Spain announced that they will certify their titles from now on through the technological platform of Hyperledger Fabric.

This platform launched its own “interuniversity management, accreditation and recognition of university degrees” system in January of this year, which is committed to the use of blockchain technology.

This is how the CEU San Pablo University, in Madrid, the Abat Oliba CEU University, in Barcelona and the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, in Valencia will now have the use of the chainTalent platform.

Through this system students can add a complement to their conventional accreditation, a distributed registry with which you can provide immediate verifiability for the inclusion of digital identity.

The director of Strategy Blockchain of Ibermática, Pablo Carretero, highlighted the expectations that are held about chainTalent.

“The great challenge of chainTalent is to become a platform for the treatment and management of people’s talent, to value curricular information as an asset of great importance in the present and future of people. In this way to travel, it is essential for Ibermática the creation of an ecosystem, not only of academic institutions, but also of any public and private company that adds to the identity of an individual”, said Carretero.
