Trump ordered to pay $ 2 million for misuse of his foundation

The move is due to Trump used his foundation as a vehicle to channel funds directed to his election campaign

The US justice ruled President Donald Trump to pay $ 2 million for the misuse of his foundation, also ordering the distribution of $ 1.8 million to eight other non-profit organizations in the United States. The 3.8 million dollars will be distributed equally among different NGOs in the country.

This sentence would become part of the political struggle between the state of New York and Donald Trump that has been quite extensive. The New York Attorney General’s office, a position that corresponds to the secretary or minister of Justice in New York, has launched a legal offensive against the president where the accounts of his Foundation are just one more chapter, not being the most important.

To date, Justice has given New York reason for all judicial proceedings against Trump but each sentence has been appealed by the head of state, indicating that the case is likely to reach the Supreme Court, a fully politicized body where the Party Republican, to which the president belongs, has five magistrates while the Democrats have four.

The judicial proceedings against Trump are fundamentally linked to their real estate, proof of this has been the amount of accusations by some hotel establishments in Washington, where is located the hotel of the president.

The accusations refer to the indirect acceptance of bribes from foreign citizens to the Executive. As established in the Constitution, these actions are strictly prohibited in the country.
