They develop a 3D hologram with a sensory system

This technological innovation can see at a glance, hear and even feel without the need for any virtual reality system

A team of British scientists has impacted the technology market with one of the most anticipated innovations, 3D holograms that will have sensory capabilities, willing to see, feel and even listen.

Experts said they have managed to make 3D versions even more realistic than a butterfly, a globe or emoji, which can see with the naked eye, hear and even feel without the need for any virtual reality system.

The creators from the University of Sussex, in the south of England, indicated that technology can currently create three-dimensional images of short duration and “most importantly, they are based on operational principles that cannot produce touch and auditory content as well.”

From cathode rays to 3D technology

Surpassing the technology of the old CRT televisions that used an electron gun to illuminate the individual pixels, drawing a drawing up to 10 centimeters wide in less than a tenth of a second, the 3D technology represented in these holograms shows the viewer a three-dimensional shape that challenges the ability of the human eye and can also be seen from any angle without the effect losing strength.

However, the creation in the field has no limits because for some time now it has been proposed to go one step further to create ultrasonic sound waves at frequencies that could feel like a tactile sensation. The flutter of a butterfly in flight could be felt if someone placed their hands close enough to the hologram.
