Super SOCO CPx, the new electric motorcycle financed by Xiaomi

The innovative motorcycle points towards Vespa and has its 140km of autonomy and up to 90 km / h

The Chinese brand Super SOCO has found its own path and, despite being affiliated with the Xiaomi catalog, the startup continues to expand its availability in the international market independently with a Xiaomi share of around 30%.

The brand has recently announced its electric scooter Super SOCO CPx. This innovation of the Asian giant has a 4kW Bosch engine, an acceleration range of 140 kilometers, with a fairly classic look compared to the electric scooter. It includes low position lights, the front is more aerodynamic and aggressive and the design is slightly thicker than traditional electric scooters.

Unlike the basic scooters, whose speed is limited to 45 kilometers per hour, the Super SOCO has a maximum speed of 90 kilometers per hour, equivalent to that obtained with 125cc motorcycles. It also has removable 2.7kWh batteries, for a total of 5.4kWh, located under the seat.

When using the motorcycle with its maximum speed, the autonomy would be significantly lower and although there is no data on its acceleration, it is known that this electric motorcycle has proved to be the most powerful of the company to date.

The commercialization of Super SOCO CPx is expected for 2020, when other models such as the SEAT wScooter are intended to be promoted, with an even more powerful engine but lower autonomy. Estimates regarding the price for sale point from 4,790 euros, for the model with a battery, up to 5,990 euros for the one of two batteries, a cost slightly lower than its rivals such as the Vespa Elettrica, which exceed six thousand euros.
