Ripple partners with universities on blockchain platform

There are more than ten universities that seek to adapt blockchain technology to their teaching programs, courses, conferences, research projects and related topics

Various universities from different continents have partnered with Ripple to advance in the area of ​​blockchain technology applied to education, conference organization, scholarship programs, new projects and related topics.

The announcement was made recently by the platform. Spokespeople from Ripple confirmed the signing of the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) which aims to promote the advancement of the ecosystem of this technology.

Among the universities that have joined this initiative can be mentioned Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Duke, Georgetown, Morgan State, Kansas, Michigan and the University of the Northeast of the United States. The National Universities of Singapore and Sao Paulo have also joined.

From the platform they have indicated that the objective of the institutions is focused on research, the development of materials for courses, conference planning, as well as scholarship programs for students who perform work on topics of “blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital payments and related areas.”

Duke and Georgetown universities will support “the expansion of curriculum and teaching, research and technical projects and collaboration between disciplines.” In the case of the University of Sao Paulo, it will receive the necessary funds for the development of a blockchain innovation program.
