Restaurant in Uruguay launches token based on ethereum
The Uruguayan restaurant and cafe Club Natural y Popular announced the creation of a digital currency called Popu Coin
The Uruguayan restaurant Club Natural y Popular made public the launch of a cryptocurrency known as Popu Coin which works on the basis of ethereum for payments through Trust Wallet.
The customer must first download the Trust Wallet application, then must buy a certain amount of Popu Coins in the restaurant and then will receive the same amount plus an additional percentage in Popu Coins.
The developer of the digital currency, Diego Rodríguez, a 28 years old programmer, states that the cryptoactive is a utility token which means that it can only be used to cancel at the aforementioned establishment.
Rodríguez, who is a regular customer, seeks to avoid speculation due to price variations in the cryptographic market. For this reason, he affirms that the Popu Coin is a stable digital currency and is equivalent to a Uruguayan peso.
The cafeteria system is supported on ethereum as a protocol for transferring data from the crypto market. For his part, Rodriguez states that “paying with a cryptocurrency is safer than paying in pesos because the bills can be falsified. In addition, the one of ethereum is a decentralized system in which there is not only one server.”
