Mozilla adds protection against illicit cryptocurrency mining

Users will have the possibility to activate or deactivate the security mechanism that prevents navigation in dangerous places

The developers of the Mozilla Firefox browser included a new feature which will enable a preventive lock for cryptocurrency mining and fingerprint.

In order to develop this, the company joined Disconnect to include scripts capable of preventing the browser from downloading dangerous content.

This blocking will be deactivated by default. However, users can activate them by clicking on the browser’s privacy and security settings.

Mozilla commented that these configurations will be turned on by default in the future night versions of Firefox 68, for those users more concerned about safe navigation.

Customers  can also exclude some websites from these locks only by clicking the button in the toolbar.
