Morgan Stanley reaches 1,810 million profit during second quarter 2019

The US institution presented a setback in the figures, with respect to the same period of 2018

The US bank Morgan Stanley obtained an attributable net profit of 2.031 billion dollars in the second quarter of the year, which represents a decrease of 10.4% with respect to the result registered by the entity in the same period of 2018, the firm reported. Wall Street

Morgan Stanley’s revenues between April and June decreased by 3.4% to $ 10,244 million, including a 17% drop in intermediation revenues to $ 2,732 million, while net interest income increased by 4,506 million dollars.

Thus, in the first six months of 2019 the attributable net profit of Morgan Stanley fell by 9.8% to 4.367 million dollars, while the bank’s turnover reached 20.530 million dollars, 5% less.

“We posted strong quarterly results across all of our businesses”, said James P. Gorman, president and CEO of Morgan Stanley.
