Liechtensteinische Post AG offers cryptocurrency exchange

The post office of Vaduz will have the option to change fiduciary money to bitcoin

Through its website, the Liechtenstein postal service published that it will exchange digital currencies in its network of post offices. The testing phase of the service will be carried out in the Vaduz entity, in which the fiduciary money can be converted into bitcoin. However, the post office did not specified how long the introductory phase will last.

The exchange option will be based on the traditional model.  “Nothing is different from the conventional money exchange business, which has always been part of the Swiss Post service offering”, the statement said.

The service is expected to expand to other post offices and to offer the exchange of other cryptoactives such as ethereum (ETH), litecoin (LTC), bitcoin cash (BCH) and ripple (XRP). This service offered at the post offices resulted from a partnership with Värdex Suisse AG to build an emerging business.

The postal office expresses that at the time of the transaction the customer will receive a physical cryptographic card, through which he will be able to activate the cryptography box on the network by means of a public and private key.

It should be noted that Liechtenstein is a country that set out to become a paradise for companies that wish to develop projects using blockchain technology.
