Inflation in Venezuela reached 53% in February

The deputy José Guerra gave these figures, it is expected that they are detailed to funds by the National Assembly

Inflation in Venezuela showed an atypical behavior in February when compared to other months. Deputy José Guerra indicated that for that period of time that indicator was at 53%.

However, it does not mean that Venezuela has emerged from the phenomenon of hyperinflation the country has been going through since 2017. This behavior can be analyzed taking into account different aspects.

One of them is the deep fall in consumption that has been evident this year. The merchants have been forced to show more competitive prices, and even lower them several times in order to sell.

The lack of bolivars has also been a determining factor. And the ability of banks to grant loans has affected the purchasing power of Venezuelans.

These and other factors are being explained by the AN this Thursday through the speech of deputy Guerra.

On the other hand, the Assembly indicated that the annualized inflation rate is estimated in two million 300 thousand bolivars.
