Dubai Expo 2020 opens its doors

In October 2020, the world's first wireless lift for skyscrapers will be featured prominently

The pioneering system of Thyssenkrupp Elevator was chosen as one of the flagship projects of this year’s Expo and will be presented at the German Pavilion by the Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany.

Peter Walker, CEO of Thyssenkrupp Elevator, says: “Dubai is a city that offers a platform for inventions and attracts people and companies from all over the world. Multi will support this goal and demonstrate to attendees at Expo 2020 how technology can improve urban mobility.”

The Multi elevators reach the market to change the way people move inside buildings and offer completely new perspectives for architects, real estate owners and passengers.

The innovative technology uses linear motors for each cab, Multi does not need cables and can move both vertically and horizontally. Technology allows the construction of much higher buildings in cities. As it requires less elevator shaft, it frees up valuable space for more apartments.

At Expo 2020, the company will demonstrate how various transportation solutions, from underground logistics to aerial taxis can be interconnected with wireless lifts.
