Dicom price of the dollar stimulates the sending of remittances to Venezuela

The value of the currency is located at 3,300 sovereign bolivars per dollar, which places the currency above the parallel market

The sending of remittances in dollars to Venezuela increased recently after the announcement of setting the Dicom value for the currency at an average of 3,300 “bolívares soberanos“.

Since last January 31, there has been an important increase in the sending of remittances to the South American country, as well as a greater dynamism in the purchase and sale of dollars in the authorized exchange houses.

The scenario was favored by the anchoring of the value of the dollar over the parallel market. As can be seen through social networks, in this market the value of the dollar continues to fluctuate between 2,200 and 2,600 “bolívares soberanos”.

Before the dynamism for the purchase, sale and shipment of remittances in dollars, the exchange offices established a maximum for transactions in Venezuelan territory of up to 100 dollars a dayWith this measure they seek to prevent people from going to the exchange offices to sell the currency and then buy dollars and sell them again to obtain more “bolívares”.

The commission charged by the money exchange offices for remittances is 4% and the sum is transferred to the corresponding account in 48 hours. In the case of selling currency in cash, the commission is 5%.
